Nominate a champ | Community Digital Champions

We are looking for:

  • inspiring individuals of any age or demographic
  • Queenslanders from any industry sector, community or demographic group
  • champions who are keen to encourage others to embrace digital technologies
  • people who will share their digital stories, experience and knowledge with Queenslanders and other champions.

Who can nominate a champ?

All potential Champions must be supported by a nominating organisation, such as:

  • not-for-profit or community groups
  • industry groups, peak bodies or professional bodies
  • schools or tertiary institutions
  • chambers of commerce
  • local council
  • Queensland Members of Parliament
  • Regional Development of Australia offices
  • Queensland Government agencies.

If your nominated champ is accepted, your organisation can:

  • be invited to Queensland Government events
  • identify and develop relationships with outstanding individuals giving back to their community
  • help their community obtain digital skills and confidence necessary to participate in the digital world
  • raise their professional profile by working with their Champion to improve digital awareness and connectivity in their community
  • foster new collaborations and networks.

How to nominate

Nominating a champ is a simple online process that can be started by either a potential Champion (nominee) or their nominating organisation.

The nomination process is broken into 3 parts:

  • Part A: The nominator provides basic details and recommendations
  • Part B: Potential Champions (nominees) provide further detail about their motivation and activities that supports their application for selection as a Community Digital Champion
  • Part C: The nominator performs a final check and then submits the completed form online.
