Tenants, property owners and property managers all play a vital role in the looking and leasing process of renting, including organising and inspecting properties, and submitting or reviewing rental applications

Agreeing when, how much and how rent and bond must be paid are the next key steps before the tenancy can start.

These steps are all an important part of renting in Queensland, and we asked you how the looking and leasing phase can be improved to make it better for everyone.

    • What information do tenants think is reasonable to provide when applying for a rental property?
    • Should the application process be more regulated, such as through standard application forms or which identify/limit what information prospective tenants can be asked for?
